Date of Birth: 11/01/1990
Hometown: Joplin, MO
Marital Status: Married
Bio: Originally from Joplin, Missouri, but moved to Wichita Kansas (2009) to attend Wichita State University where I graduated (2013) with a BA in Integrated Marketing Communications and a minor in Marketing.
I met my husband at the local gym while working the front desk, and he’s who brought me into the fitness world and taught me how to lift weights. At the time I had a lot of self-image issues and felt I’d never have the body I desired.
After competing in my first bikini competition in early 2012, I quickly realized I had found something I was extremely passionate about and wanted to share that with others; so I decided to make a career out of it by getting my personal training certification. I started my career in a small gym with a niche and passion for helping women of all ages find confidence in the weight room.
In 2015 I started my own website/blog where I began offering online coaching for both fitness competitors and those just wanting to learn how to count macros and live a healthy/realistic lifestyle.
In early 2016 my husband and I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where I’m now training out of Boss Fitness Tulsa. When I’m not prepping for a show you can usually find me either vacationing in Napa Valley or sipping on a glass of wine on my patio with my husband and dog, Zoe.
Pet Peeve in the Gym: Lack of gym etiquette
Special Talent: I cheered at Wichita State University in college and partner stunting was my “thing”
Favorite Cheat Meal: Pizza, Wine, & French Macaroons
Best Fitness Recipe: I’m obsessed with salads, especially while on competition prep. Spinach, strawberries, apples, pecans, almonds, avocado, feta – whatever I’m feeling that day for toppings!
Best Dieting Tip: Adherence. No matter what type of diet you’re following, it must be realistic and sustainable for YOU. If you can’t stick to it, it doesn’t matter which way you slice things, it won’t work.
What Inspires You To Excel In Life And The Gym: Remembering how far I’ve come and how I’ve now achieved things that I once thought were impossible.
Favorite Fitness Quote You Live By: You will make more progress in the long run if you are 80% perfect 100% of the time than if you are 100% perfect 50% of the time.
Most Important Thing / Person in your Life: God and my husband. Without either of them I wouldn’t be the person I’ve become, and I have them to thank for all of my achievements.
My faith in God is what keeps me going and my glass half full.
My husband is who brought me into the fitness world, and he pushes me to reach my goals more and more every day rather that’s when I’m in preparation for the stage or growing my career as a personal trainer/online coach.
