Marital Status: In a Relationship
My name is Austin Seneph, born and raised in a small town named Verdigris. Being only 19, it’s a little rough to compete with such inspiring competition, but I believe I will make it one day. My first interest in developing a physique began in high school football. I played for the Verdigris Cardinals. Seeing all the upper classmen and noticing how much bigger they were, motivated me to become like them. Eventually, I got into High School Powerlifting my Junior and Senior year. My Junior year I made it to State Powerlifting and won 5th place. My Senior year of high school I competed again with determination to come home with 1st place. After 5 months of preparing I won 1st place in State Powerlifting. From there, with tips and support, my next step lead to competing in NPC Physique competitions.
Pet Peeve in the Gym: One thing that definitely bothers me would be when people over-talk during their workouts or chat a little too much while I’m trying to work out. Don’t get me wrong, I love talking with people and seeing friendly faces. But when I come to the gym, I am focused on leaving better than when I came in. But don’t be afraid to talk with me even though it’s a pet peeve!
Special Talent: A few talents I have would be drawing, breakdancing, and playing piano. Since I was young, my father would teach me to draw and dance occasionally. We’d go through practice sessions and I’d interest began to increase over time. I stopped once I got into high school, and started to teach myself piano. I caught on very quick and it started to feel natural for me.
Favorite Cheat Meal: Texas Roadhouse Rolls, and Rips Licorice Candy from QT.
Best Fitness Recipe: Oatmeal with mixed berries and berry granolas. Simple, quick, and satisfies my sweet tooth.
2 Protein oatmeal packs
½ Cup of Rasberries, ½ Cup of Blueberries, ½ Cup of BlackBerries
1 Cup of Milk
Handful of Berry Granolas.
Mix all ingredients and microwave for 1-2 minutes
Best Dieting Tip: One thing that helps me the most while dieting is to never put things off. If you wait to do things like make your meals, buy your diet food or even start your diet, it will make things much more difficult than if you were to start now.
What Inspires You To Excel In Life And The Gym: Being one of the only Asian Americans in Verdigris as a kid, I went through my fair share of teasing and cruel jokes. I would always try to never take it to heart, but sometimes you just can’t help it. Eventually as I grew older, I would use that built up anger to show everyone I wasn’t what they said I was, and that I was better than anyone could perceive. To this day, I continue to channel that anger into drive and motivation along with me. More than that, the pure support from my friends and family pushes me further than I could ever imagine.
Favorite Fitness Quote You Live By:
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.
It relates to my fitness journey because as I grow, I want to always remember where I came from and those who have been there for me. I want to stay humble and respectful to those around me.
Most Important Thing / Person in your Life: The most important thing in my life is God. He always will be. The most important person would be my soon to be born son, Julian Grey Seneph. But those aren’t the only things that are important to me.
